I’d like to say thank you to everyone for following my blog.
This will be my last blog post. I did not want to just disappear and leave a big question mark but some of you might have noticed that since the beginning of the year I have started posting less regularly.
Photography is my passion and traveling is my favorite thing in the world, so One Day in Sofia has been a wonderful outlet for me. It was originally started as a channel for self-expression and later turned into a travel journal and a place for showcasing beautiful places in Bulgaria. My goal from the beginning was to show the world the best of my country.
Running the blog has been like having a job, where I am my own boss and I love what I do. And with time it turned into just that – a job. I liked that it asked for self-discipline to keep it going and I was never short of photo assignments. But after more than three years the routine started getting to me. I had stopped taking any photos different from the style of the blog and I felt the need to experiment with photography more.
It took me a few months to take the decision, but I realize I need to put a logical end to this project so I can open my mind to new ones. I appreciate everyone who has followed along and I hope you enjoyed my photo diaries.
The blog will not be taken down and you can still access all photos.
I will continue taking photos, which I will publish on my new blog. The new blog will be more of an artistic quest and won’t have a unifying theme. It will be my place for experimentation with different photographic styles. Here is the link to it.
Here are some photos from my favorite trips with links to the full blog posts.
Thank you all.
