This is a view of the amazing village of Kovachevitsa in the Rhodope mountain in Bulgaria. I spent two days in Leshten, a similar village a few kilometers from it. Both villages are amazing examples of how preserving authentic places in their original look, can be great for tourism and instead of stimulating people to consume and pollute, it can help them learn to appreciate a more mindful way of life. With my visit to Kovachevitsa and Leshten, I have officially opened the season for travelling around Bulgaria. I look forward to sharing more photos of these beautiful places, frozen in time.

Oh the view of the rooftops is so enchanting!
