When you hear ‘beach’ you imagine fine sand and crashing blue waves. Maybe you would not think of it right away, but river beaches are also great for summer. These photos are from a secret spot on  the mountain river that flows from the Balkan range in the outskirts of my home town. It is a great hiding place from the heat, shaded by century-old trees. The water is crystal clean but very cold! Very secluded spot, where all you can hear is the sound of the river and the birds.
