Sofia has many faces, but one thing is for sure – it definitely has style. Walking down Shipka Street the other day I passed by several really cool places – the new luxury florist shop L’Amore, Cakey Bakey bakery, Park Bar and the cute little local cafe-bar Tony. It made me want to take the day off and spend it enjoying these places and taking in their beautiful atmosphere – buy a holiday flower arrangement, grab lunch, then get desert and maybe stop for a beer at the end…

Shipka street has kept the old charm of Sofia and it is lined up with architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. Part of it runs along the Doctors’ Garden, which is a beautiful park. Pacing downhill on Shipka street’s paving stones you will come across several more shops and great eateries. Definitely worth making a day out of it.
