Barcelona, Part II

Barcelona is the stunning view from Park Guell. Barcelona is the golden light between the narrow streets of Barri Gotic.  It is the cerveza in a small glass  in a crowded bar.  It is the sandwich with ham and fresh orange juice for breakfast, the paella for lunch and the tapas for dinner…

Barcelona is not just a city, it is an indulgence for the senses– the warmth of the sun, the taste of the delicious food, the sound of the beautiful Catalan rumba…

Although I was not there on a culinary trip (that will happen!), I accidentally ended up trying many famous Spanish dishes such as tortilla, paella, jamón, patatas bravas … Not to forget the drinks – cava, cerveza, sangria and red wine. Spanish food is not just delicious, it is full of life. Its taste is not subtle or pretentious.  It is full of flavour and it is served in generous portions, intended to be  consumed in a relaxed manner. Spanish food makes you want to live life.

Ok, I get very excited about Spanish food, I admit!
