I recently got inspired by the photos of Enjoy Sofia project. Many of them make the city look so beautiful, but without trying to hide its imperfections. On the contrary, they capture its essence, they are honest, and to me this is what makes them so captivating. Ever since I started this blog, I am very focused on painting a positive picture of Sofia, however this sometimes happens at the expense of honesty.
Towards the end of August I took a lot of pictures of old buildings, which are in a decaying state but somehow they still retain their character and remain beautiful even with their many imperfections. It made me think that perfect doesn’t mean beautiful and that beauty often lies within-in many cases, it is the imperfections themselves that contribute to this beauty.
