These are works of art, but before that they were boring metal boxes, holding electric cables. Thanks to an initiative of Modern Art Gallery Sofia, the municipality and the electricity company, they are now painted by young artists. You can see such examples of street art on all major streets and boulevards in the centre of Sofia.  I love how these ugly and dangerous boxes have been transformed into something cool and beautiful that can brighten your day.
