My trip to the Old Town of Plovdiv was an incredible experience. I arrived at the bus station in Plovdiv and took a taxi straight to the Old Town and stayed there until it was time to go back to Sofia. I  found myself in a different world – a beautiful and quiet town from a different age and warm weather. I had left the rain and the busy urban landscape behind and could immerse myself entirely in this picturesque place.  I spent the day walking  on the stone paved streets passing by beautifully decorated 19th century houses from the Bulgarian Revival and taking pictures. It was a true tourist experience – I had lunch at a traditional restaurant,I posed for a retro photo in a  dress from that period, I browsed souvenir shops and I took a walk to the top of a hill where I could see the town from above.
